Young men and women will have the opportunity to receive professional strength and conditioning training utilizing weights, plyometric, agility drills, and TRX straps for core training. Everyone involved will work out safely and be supervised at all times. In addition, participants will learn about nutrition and the importance of effective diet in developing speed, strength and agility.
Facility
Students will receive instruction in a dedicated room for cardio (treadmill, rowing, and elliptical), strength (free, machine, and Olympic weights), core (TRX suspension training, kettle bells, and balance work on bosu balls), and plyometric training (jump boxes, resistance, and cones, hurdles and ladder work for footwork).
Schedule
The program consists of a 14-week semester offered each fall and spring. Throughout the semester participants attend a session one night a week on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday nights (usually 6:30-8:30p) where they meet for discipleship instruction in the first hour and receive professional training in the second hour.
